Women Drivers Have Lower Speed Crashes

WOMEN may drive differently to men, and the argument rages about who are the better drivers, but research shows that one thing is for sure – the sexes crash differently and that affects your car insurance premiums too.
Women drivers are more likely to have accidents in car parks, bumps on roundabouts, and prangs at traffic lights. But men tend to crash in more ‘style’, being more likely to have a head-on collision, drive either up or down an embankment, or hit a crash barrier. Read full news item |

LONDON voted least car-friendly town in UK
ST HELENS in Merseyside is the UK's most car-friendly town, while London is the worst spot for motorists, according to new research.
St Helens scored well on such things as petrol prices, parking costs and the number of speed cameras in an assessment carried out by Virgin Money Car Insurance.

A new two-part test was introduced in early 2009 after months of delays and a not inconsiderable amount of bad blood between the biking industry and the implementing authorities.
